This coming weekend marks a fantastic time to be a horror fan living in the tri-state area, as there is plenty of events to sink your teeth into.
-This friday is LOADED, and since it’s the 13th, we’ll begin with the 35mm screening of Friday the 13th part VI: Jason Lives, starting at 9:45PM at the legendary Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA.
This show is sponsored by HorrorSexy and The Shock! Chamber, and the great Doc Terror and Danny Mozz will be in attendance, handing out free High Fives to anyone who’s interested.
Bring money, as Quiltface Studios has designed an exclusive Jason Lives print, just for this show.
-If watching one slasher film doesn’t fit your fancy, how about a Slasher Triple Feature? The International House of Philadelphia will be hosting this Exhumed Films event, with doors opening at 7pm.
Three 35mm films, Hack-O-Lantern, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Don’t Go In The Woods… Alone, will all be shown. This show is sponsored by Massacre Video, who will be on hand selling limited edition Hack-O-Lantern posters.
I’ll be at this show, in case anyone needs moonshine or dick pics.
-The big event this weekend is Monster Mania 30, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ. Celebrities at this event include Tobin Bell, Robert Patrick, Ric Flair(WOOOOOOOO!), William Forsythe and, for some reason, Shooter Magavin from Happy Gilmore(there’s lots more, so check the Monster Mania website).
The horror shopping experience is what I go to Monster Mania for, and with great people like DiabolikDVD and The House of Mysterious Secrets on hand, im secure my money will be going to add to my ever-growing obsession, I MEAN collection.
Both Doc Terror and myself(among others) will be at the con early on Friday, so find us if you dare. Hugs are free(but kisses will cost ya!).
