Welcome again to Parliamo Giallo, your weekly Italian lesson. Last week we saw the different ways in which we can refer to a murderer. This week we are learning how to dress like one in Italian.

First, the verbs we are using are: portare and indossare meaning wear and mettersi indosso and vestirsi meaning put on. Please, click on the verb to find out how to use them correctly.

The giallo murderer is often found wearing:

A fedora dark hat or as Italians say un cappello di feltro scuro

A trench coat, un impermeabile, or tight black clothes, let’s say un abito aderente e nero

Black gloves or as the assassino calls them dei guanti neri

We usually cannot see their face but if we do it may be covered by:

A mask, una maschera, like in Aquarius

or a  stocking mask like in Blood and black lace or in Torso so it is described as un mascherato con una calza di nylon.
