Dream Seekers Productions specializes in powerful short films that create energetic experiences with limited budget, strong cast and innovative storylines. The new offering is actually a step in a different direction for DSP. They’ve adopted a fan favorite DC Comics villain and created a fan film starring Madeleine Wade and Micah Fitzgerald. Fans of Harley Quinn and The Joker need apply.
First, better familiarize yourself with our stars:
Peter Dukes, the creative mind behind DSP and Sweet Madness doesn’t typically venture into the world of fan fiction, but the characters in this production are as strong as his usual horror fare and provide a unique, dark, fantastical vision of characters that have become synonymous with the success of the DC universe.
Swett Madness will be hitting soon, but after enjoying it I strongly encourage you to touch back with Dream Seekers Productions to follow along.
From DSP and Peter Dukes:
Harley is a fabulously complex character and since the live action Batman canon has yet to show her any love (pending SUICIDE SQUAD, that is) I wanted to show her some myself. This is HER story. The Joker is in it, but in a way most people haven’t seen before. If I’m going to take on a film like this, I might as well be bold:) I’ve stripped him of his make-up to not only expose the twisted man behind the clown, but also to keep the focus on Harley.
Harley and the Joker have a complicated history together, to say the least. This film explores that relationship, but being that it’s a short film it doesn’t take much if any time explaining their background. It’s a film designed for fans of the Batman universe who already know it, though others can enjoy it as well.
